I thought that my back would probably get annoyed at the colonoscopy prep and stuff and yep, it is grumpy. Had a battle with the back last night since it's trying to go out. Documenting here since I try to keep track of when it's acting up. Also might be slow to respond here and elsewhere since I may need to be prone for a while.

Ugh. Seriously?

I've had issues with my lower back on and off for a couple of weeks. Last evening, I started getting twinges in the spot of my back that signals when it's trying to go out so be careful, I took today and tomorrow off for an extended weekend to rest things and hopefully avoid it escalating. Back is having intermittent spasms. I at least was finally able to get some sleep (in the chair) from about 2am on but I'm out of commission at least today.

I try not to make too much of an issue but the maintenance guy that we've had for years is nice but mostly useless. Three years ago I asked to have my kitchen faucet replaced because the screw went missing and it wouldn't stay on. My neck was stiffening up then when I stepped out of the shower yesterday morning, it suddenly seized up. I tried cold and hot and pain relievers which got it down slightly but I knew it was a matter of waiting it out. Taking a sit-up break since I need to make sure to try to be mobile now and then. Doing about the same but at least that's not worse and I hope things improve. Not sure how much I'll be around for a while. Most acutely since last night, the back is trying its damndest to go into spasm. This time on the left side above the kidney area.
